Description
Is this a new requirement or is there an incumbent project/vendor? A renewal contract is required to replace a current base plus 4- option year contract that ends on August 22, 2019. The incumbent contractor is Loyal Source Government Services LLC V797D-30203 Order number 36C25918N3520, POP expires Aug 22,2019 PRN or as needed project are complicated as it is sometimes hard to ensure you have staff ready at all times for when services are needed. Can you share historical usage? Please see PWS par 5.7 for workload estimates. Contracted Technologists are supplemented with Government personnel. On average each technologist performs: General Radiology (DRT): average performed 10 to 30 procedures a day in a 8 or 10 hour tour. Ultrasound: 8-14 procedures per day (scheduled plus emergencies) ---CT: 15-20 procedures per day (scheduled plus emergencies).MRI: 10-15 procedures per day (scheduled plus emergencies).Mammo: 8-12 procedures per day Is the usage in blocks or is it sporadic days when a VA Tech calls our sick or is on leave? This contract is for urgent coverage on as needed basis (PRN): staffing shortage created by prolonged sick leave (FMLA) and attrition (resignation, retirement, transfer) that creates minimal staffing coverage of less than 75% to an imaging section. Thus, the requirement is as needed (PRN). Are the hours listed on each CLIN (Page 2 & 3) estimated total yearly hours for each position? Specifically, is the estimated total yearly need approximately 1200 hours? The hours are estimated for each position. Yes, the total yearly estimate is 1200 hours. Section 5.6 refers to the services being requested on an "as needed" basis - Is this solicitation request simply to augment current staff during sick/vacation? This contract is for urgent coverage on as needed basis (PRN): staffing shortage created by prolonged sick leave (FMLA) and attrition (resignation, retirement, transfer) that creates minimal staffing coverage of less than 75% or as determined by the service that may cause patient access issue to any certain imaging section or location. Section 5.8 lists daily volumes of each CLIN at each facility but does not specify how many days per week the services are conducted. Are these volumes the daily volumes per work week day, every day, or just days when services occur? They are based on overall work volume per day by each section. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-AUG-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
