Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for a BK Medical BK3000 Ultrasound System for the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, 5500 Armstrong Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5), 38 U.S.C. 8127(b), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute), and under the authority of VAAR 819.7007, Sole Source Awards to a Verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Four Points Technology, 14900 Conference Center Drive, Suite 100, Chantilly, VA 20151. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334510 and the Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. It is the Government s belief that the BK Medical BK3000 Ultrasound System is the only ultrasound that is fully compatible with the existing UroNav transperineal MRI equipment at the Battle Creek VAMC. The estimated value of this acquisition is approximately $130,000.00. The estimated award date is on or before August 22, 2019. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday, August 19, 2019. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
