- The question period has ended. Answers to questions received below. See attached documents for updated performance work statement and other attachments. Additional Questions: 1. Can you please provide pictures of each exhibit and the theater area. Attached. 2. Can you provide a picture of the existing Stethoscope and provide more detail of how the new system should work or look? The existing Stethoscope has been removed because it was constantly being pulled on and out of it's housing (see pictures) The new system should allow visitors to hear the beating heart of the hibernating bear but with something more robust than the Stethoscope. 3. What does PIR stand for on drawing AV102? 2.3 Secrets to Success and 2.5.3 Bear Research. Passive InfraRed. 4. Do the handsets in the 2.2 Salmon drive system need to be replaced? If so, what are the existing handsets? They do not. 5. Can you please provide the existing screen size and the distance from the lens of the current projector to the screen? Screen size is 10' x 5' 6". That's the picture frame (white portion) of the screen. Total size of the screen (including the black border is 11' x 6') Distance is 19 ¿ 8 ¿. 6. What audio system does the theater use? Are there existing speakers and amplifiers? Is there an existing receiver to change input sources? Etc ¿ (See pictures in coming emails.) There are existing speakers and amplifiers, and there is an existing receiver. 7. Does the reception desk need to continue to use a dvd player and vcr? Does the vcr provide cable tv? Yes. They will continue to use DVDs, but a VCR is not necessary. There is no cable TV. 8. How far is it from the AV storage rack to the Exhibit equipment rack? Is there conduit between the two racks? The AV rack and Exhibit rack are not connected. No other questions. 1. Can you provide drawings from the existing systems? Now attached pages are from the Kodiak Refuge Visitor Center ¿s 100% construction drawings that show the wiring configurations for the exhibit and A/V controls from the information desk. I also attached the description from the 100% drawings of how the individual exhibit A/V element are to function for the visitor. 2. What is the existing track lighting system and what is the interface to interact with the existing exhibit/theatre? Track lighting reference deleted. 3. System Overview Exhibits.1. The SOW refers to an attachment. I did not see an attachment included. See below attached pages from the 100% drawings that show the wiring configurations for the exhibit and multipurpose A/V. I also attached the description of how the individual exhibit A/V element were to function for the visitor. 4. Track lighting: Please describe the issues with the lighting. Track lighting reference deleted. 5. Would the customer prefer a lampless laser projector? These projectors are rated for 20,000 hours and do not require lamps or maintenance. Yes, if the proposed projector ¿s quality and maintenance benefits outweighed a lamp/bulb projector.
