Description
Description of Requirements/Statement of Work: Technical requirements/needs for a 180 PPM Aircraft Air Start Unit are as follows: 1.General machine requirements: a.New Condition unit "ONLY". No refurbished or reconditioned unit. Procurement Planning Template A712017 b.Minimum warranty of 2years/2000 hours. Must have a local distributor to perform scheduled maintenance services on the unit. c.Cummins Diesel Engine 375 HP (Meets EPA norms) with a 24 volt electrical system with maintenance free batteries d.Compressor type: Rotary dry screw oil free air output at 68 degrees. Fahrenheit (20 Celsius) 60% RH sea level. Discharge air temperature 450 degrees Fahrenheit (232 Celsius) nominal. e.Must be "Low Noise" level operating. f.Airflow is automatically adjusted to cater to any aircraft type/capacity. g.Two standard 50ft single discharge hoses with ground air connection hardware. h.Four wheel trailer mounted with leaf springs rear suspension i.Fire extinguisher 2.Engine and Compressor Protection system requirement. a.Engine high coolant temperature 217 degrees Fahrenheit (103 Celsius) b.Engine low oil pressure l Opsig (69 kPag) c.Compressor low oil pressure 10 psig (69 kPag) d.Compressor high oil temperature 176 degrees Fahrenheit (80 Celsius) e.Compressor high air temperature 502 degrees Fahrenheit (261 Celsius). f.Walk away protection and control (Unattended Operations) g.Engine overs speed and under speed shutdown 3.Aircraft Protection System a.Discharge air regulating valve 42 psig (289 kPag) b.Discharge air Safety valve 50 psig (345 kPag) 4.Standard Instrument Panel a.Fuel Pressure b.Tachometer c.Water Temperature d.Engine oil pressure e.Panel-mounted electric and tank mounted mechanical fuel level gauges voltmeter. f.Air output temperature g.Air output pressure h.Compressor oil temperature i.Compressor oil pressure j.Safety warning and shutdown indicators k.Automatic Control System I.Demand air throttle control m.Dual pressure regulation n.Engine protection warning lamps and unit shutdown for high coolant temperature, low engine oil pressure. o.Compressor warning lamps and unit shutdown for high compressor oil temperature, low compressor oil pressure and high output air temperature.
