- Upgrades/Repairs to existing Intrusion Detection System, Closed Circuit Television System and Duress Alarm System. This is a notice of intent to solicit from a single source. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Miles City District Office, Miles City MT, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Snowy Mountain Lock and Key for the upgrade, installation and repair of our existing security system. The upgrades, repairs, equipment requirements, etc. must be compatible with the current system without the need to purchase new software or contracting with two vendors for maintenance of the same system. Snowy Mountain Lock and Key supplied, installed and maintains the current system under a previously competed contract. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) entitled Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the procedures in FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items. No solicitation package will be available. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2 and is not intended to request competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a response by the closing date/time. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition for the repair/changes/upgrades made to an existing system would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted in writing to rundlin@blm.gov no later than August 30, 2019. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of deterring whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification for this procurement is 561621 with a size standard of $20.50.
