- Tennessee National Guard (TNNG) intends to sole source Harris Radio repair to Harris Corporation. IAW FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This equipment was originally manufactured by the Harris Corporation. Harris technicians have the required training and experience in order to repair this specialized equipment. Harris is used as the higher echelon of maintenance when it pertains to these certain pieces of equipment. Harris Corporation provides test equipment which is the RF-7801 that can test and measure over 25 different pieces of Harris equipment. However, the expense of the test equipment exceeds the cost of repair more than 10 times; thus, the TNNG will use Harris Corporation to repair the following equipment. EQUIPMENT: The contractor will provide service on the following equipment: (A) PRC -152V (1) (B) PRC-152 V(2) (C) RT-1694 The Government will award this requirement on a sole source basis unless a contractor provides clear and convincing evidence it is in the Government's best interest to compete this requirement.
