Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to BioTek Instruments, Inc., Highland Park, P.O. Box 998, Winooski, Vermont 05404-0998. BioTek offers Synergy LX, a multi-mode microplate reader with dimensions that fit within 15"Wx15"Dx15"H space or smaller. The requirement must also have color touchscreen interface; onboard sofware; fluorescence intensity, luminescence and UV-Vis absorbance capability; continuous wavelength selection for UV-Vis measurements with 200nm to 999nm range, selectable in 1nm increments; high performance, high blocking filters for fluorescence; fluorescence optics and absorbing optics with independent light source, detector and light path; must be upgradable to add detection modes; must be compatible with 2uL low volume microplate accessory; must have USB port for data transfer and PC software for extended applications and analysis. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
