- Requesting refurbishment of 8 LCAC Rudder position actuator assembly. The contractor shall provide a weekly report of work progress via e-mail to the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC), Technical POC: MMCS Jon Wu (626)-559-6076 E-mail: yonghui.wu@navy.mil and the Contracting Officer Charles E. Fletcher II (619- 556-5519 E-mail: charles.e.fletcher1@navy.mil at by 12:00 PM (PST) each Thursday (unless the Thursday falls on an observed Federal Holiday). 1.2.1 Clearances and Licensing/Credentials: The work to be performed for this order requires a no security clearance. 1.3 Project Objective and Background: 1.3.1 Objective: The objective is for contractor to refurbish 8 of LCAC Rudder position actuator assembly restored back to a ready for issue status. 1.3.2 Background: LCAC RUDDER ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY NSN 4810-01-459-3368 is very important components required for LCAC operation. The Navy supply system have very limit stock available and the part has very long lead-times from manufacture. The manufacture is TACTAIR FLUID CONTROLS, Inc., 4806 W Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088-4810. Part Number 7-5081-3. 2.0 Definitions. Best Effort: The effort is that the Contractor shall perform within the terms and conditions of the awarded contract and all work specified in this order and any other obligations under this order and the basic contract vehicle. This effort includes providing required qualified personnel, properly supervised, and following industry methodologies by the contractor. 3.0 Specific Requirements. The following sections outline the specific order requirements, performance indicators, associated standards, and Government quality assurance methods. Sections 3.0 work, describe the specific requirements and performance measurements associated with this contract. Weekly progress status reports shall be submitted to the authorized Point of Contact (POC) at ACU-5, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055 and the Contracting Officer at Fleet Logistics Center San Diego, CA 92136-4200 via e-mail. The contractor shall make note of discrepancies found during the performance of this contract and make repair recommendations during the mandatory weekly reports. Recommendations for additional overhaul/refurbishment work beyond the scope of this PWS shall be accompanied with a quote for additional services. The Government may write a contract modification for any additional work requested. At no time can anyone from ACU-5 authorize additional work from the contractor without first obtaining authorization from the Contracting Officer via a contract modification.
