Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego (FLCSD) intents to negotiate and award on a sole source basis DRS. LAUREL TECHNOLOGIES, 246 AIRPORT ROAD, JOHNSTOWN, PA 15904. The Government has a need to procure services for technical assistance visit from a DRS tech rep to troubleshoot, repair if possible or recommend repairs to the degraded Secure Voice System (SVS) that delivers radio voice circuits to various rooms throughout the C3F Maritime Operations Center (MOC) in both Bldgs 24 and C60 at Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego, CA. As part of the restoration of the system, tech rep shall remove all unused components of the system from the database and create a clean master copy of the database.Tech Rep shall validate and attempt to fix/restore the current firmware/software configurations and report any inding/recommendations in the Tech Assist Visit Report. Tech Rep shall test all interfaces with the objective and Goal of a 100% operational capability “any finding/recommendations will be reported in the Tech Assist Visit Report. Tech rep should also verify battery backup is functional on all applicable nodes. Tech rep should also conduct 3 days of system training with C3F IT/ET personnel as available during visit. Requesting sole source to DRS since they manufactured, installed and upgraded the system. They are the only company with the required knowledge of the installed system. Information received will purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FOB Dest applies. Responsibility and Inspection: the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. Required delivery date is 2 weeks ARO. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification and approval documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 09:00 AM 28 AUG 2019 PST via email to Scottish.murphy@navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
