- Subj.: Statement of Work for Installation of Hobart Pulper and Aerowerks Conveyor RFQ Ends: 08/29/2019 This is a Brand Name or Equal, but we are requesting the Hobart Model as it will fit into the existing space. If an equal product meets the measurements provided below, please submit the equal product for contracting review. This has to meet the specifications of the processor as the Washington D.C. areas are not allowed to use regular food grinders. Scope of Work: A. General: The scope of this requirement involves providing all necessary labor, materials and equipment for installation of the kitchen equipment in the main kitchen at the Washington DC VA Medical Center in NFS. Gill Marketing will receive, deliver, and set in place new WPS1260 pulper and Aerowerks system. Make final water, drain, and electric connections to Aerowerks system and pulper within 5'. Install pulper control box on wall, run wiring from pulper to control box. Power requirements for the pulper is 480 volts 3 phase. This disposal system fits directly in the same area as the old equipment (BioHitech Digester), which will be removed by the VA. The new pulper is 87 length, with a width clearance of 52 9/16 and a height clearance of 72 Benefits of the waste equipment includes: Up to 88% reduction of waste volume, Savings on water usage Reduced sewer costs. Reduction in man hours to haul waste to pick-up area. Eliminates the need to sort paper from food waste. Dishwashing labor reduced by speeding up the scrapping operation. Reduction in solids discharged to sewer lines as compared to a food waste disposer. The vendor will provide all necessary labor, materials and equipment for installation of the kitchen equipment at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The equipment consists of: Aerowerks Model No. J101140-01 REV B Conveyor Waste System, Pulper Hobart Model No WPS1260+BUILDUP The equipment will be used in main hospital located at 50 Irving St NW Washington DC 20422. The VA intends to award a firm, fixed price contract for the kitchen equipment. The quantities listed in the attached Pricing Schedule are estimated requirements for Nutrition & Food Services.
