- Special Notice of Intent to award under Solicitation: W81K0219Q0214 Place of Performance: Department of Pathology, Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma WA 98431 Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.501(a)(2)(i), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Health Contracting Cell, Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price contract under solicitation W81K0219Q0214 to University of Washington's Dept of Laboratory Medicine in the amount of $330,000.00 for for laboratory testing services. The initial period of performance for this requirement is 1 October 2019 through 30 September 2020 with two one-year options. Laboratory testing services will include the following: Toxicology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Virology testing, including provide rapid "STAT" testing Services. The UW Dept of Laboratory Medicine is CLIA certified, CAP accredited, and is located within 60 miles which allows for rapid response which is required for intensive care units, emergency room and other urgent patient care. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated services can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
