- Fort Bliss, TX (FBTX) is home to several primary tenant activities including the 1st Armored Division and the United States Sergeants Major Academy at Biggs Army Airfield. With its headquarters in El Paso, TX, Fort Bliss is comprised of 1.1 million acres in Texas and New Mexico and includes McGregor Range in New Mexico. In order to support FBTX, the Army has entrusted the logistics operations of Maintenance, Supply, and Transportation, specifically, to the installation logistics support activity, the Logistics Readiness Center, herein referred to as the LRC. Currently, the LRC is directly responsible for providing the required support services in the aforementioned areas in accordance with AR 5-9 Area Support Responsibilities. Efforts may arise that require contracted support in the aforementioned logistics areas at the Army's adjoining White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), located in southern New Mexico; and this Task Order may be used to provide these services if deemed in the best interest of the Government. In order to accomplish its vast and diverse mission, the installation must use the appropriate contract(s) to provide the wide-range of required services. Work under this effort will largely be performed on and in the vicinity of the installation; however, the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) will identify any travel requirements under this effort. These activities will directly and indirectly support training of forces, preparing forces for deployment, sustainment and redeployment in support of current conflicts, reset forces and to rebuild readiness for future deployments and contingencies to meet the demands of a persistent conflict in the 21st Century.
