- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Contracting and General Services (CGS) Region 1 has been tasked to solicit for and procure a firm-fixed-price (FFP) order to purchase and install solar electric power generation on the visitor center of the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), 3500 Kilauea Rd, Kilauea, HI 96754. Project is a small business set-aside. Applicable NAICS code is 237130. Small business size is defined as $36.5 million or less annually when averaged over a three year period. The basis for award will be low price. The period of performance for the project is three (3) months from date of award. Questions can be emailed directly to karl_lautzenheiser@fws.gov The following is an overview of the required tasks. GENERAL INFORMATION: - Contractor responsible for bringing own tools, ladders, and all essential hardware - Install maximum allowable new individual 300W or better solar panels. Quantity to comply with all governing electrical codes, on the visitor center of the Kilauea Point NWR, 3500 Kilauea Rd Kilauea, HI 96754. - Install necessary Microcontrollers - Interconnection at the existing electrical panel with space available for the required breaker - Install PVC sch. 40 conduit - Install Mounts, Racking, Wiring - Install a local display with real time data, and have Online Energy Monitoring capabilities - All work will be tied into the grid. - Contractor responsible for all clean up Deliverables: - Install 300W PV Modules (Qty:TBD) - Install Microcontrollers (Qty:TBD) - Install local digital real time display board - Interconnection at an existing electrical panel with space available for the required breaker - Install PVC sch. 40 conduit - Install Mounts, Racking, Wiring and all associated hardware All maintenance manuals, warranty paperwork, and copies of permits (if applicable) will be provided by the contractor to the Government Solicitation Number 140F0119Q0178 with attachments is being posted on or about July 31, 2019 with quotes due by 2 PM PT on September 11, 2019.
