- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) supports the Neurobehavioral Research Laboratory (NRL). As part of this work, VANJHCS needs plate reader equipment for NRL research that will determine protein concentrations when performing gel electrophoresis such as western immunoblots to assure that equal amounts of total proteins are loaded into each lane in order to compare from sample to sample if a particular treatment or modulations of gene expression has altered that particular protein of interest. Another very important aspect of the plate reader is to use it to evaluate the growth of a given cell line. VANJHCS requires the purchase of two Tecan Infinite M Plex tunable wavelength microplate readers to include: Tecan Infinite M Plex tunable wavelength microplate readers configured as follows: 2 Infinite M Plex tunable wavelength microplate reader- measures absorbance, fluorescence and luminescence - measures 6-384 microplate format - UV-VIS wavelength range 230-1,000nm selectable in 1nm increments plus spectral scanning - fluorescence wavelength range 230-850nm selectable in 1nm increments plus spectral scanning - fluorescence top reading and bottom reading (for adherent cells) - dedicated low current, photon counting (digital) detector for glow luminescence - luminescence includes four color filters for NanoBRET, BRET-2 and ChromaGlow assays - end point, kinetic and multi-label wavelength reading - linear and orbital shaking with 12 intensity settings - heating from 4 deg C above ambient to 42 deg C - automated pathlength correction - easy to use software interface for export of raw data to Excel - standard one-year warranty - installation (IQ-OQ) and basic user training Installation will be performed by properly trained and/or certified personnel of contractor and will include equipment calibration and training. Contractor will ensure correct equipment assembly in accordance with manufacturer specifications; ensure calibration of all equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications; and ensure training conducted is in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
