Description
SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Kansas City Veterans Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, 64218, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources to provide the Rebuild to 2 York Rotary Screw Liquid Chillers in the Basement of Building 15 Services at the Kansas City Missouri facility. This announcement is issued for informational planning purposes only and is not a request for proposal or announcement of a solicitation. Submitting information for this announcement is voluntary and VA assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred associated with the preparation of responses submitted as a result of this notice. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. The purpose of this market research is to identify capable sources that are both experienced and qualified to provide all materials, labor, supervision and technology to perform the Rebuild of to 2 York Rotary Screw Liquid Chillers in the Basement of Building 15 Services at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The contractor will assure that one Chiller is always operable during the cooling season. If outside of the cooling season, both chillers can be taken down at the same time. Coordinate with COR Contractor must include a unit price (per pound) for R-22 refrigerant in their proposal. Contractor must comply with VA Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) program. The contractor is responsible for all logistics for material, tools and specialized equipment from the point of delivery to the location of the chillers in the basement of Building 15. The VA will not accept delivery of any materials or equipment as part of this contract. VA will supply 800 pounds of new R-22 for Chiller 1. Contractor will perform a start-up on each chiller per manufacturers recommended start-up procedures. The start-up will be done at the start of the cooling season. The chiller will be operated at full capacity for the time-period recommended by the manufacturer. If needed, the chiller will be topped off with refrigerant and any other adjustments necessary to make sure chiller operates within manufacturers specifications. After successful completion of the nitrogen pressure test, the contractor with triple evacuate the chiller. For triple evacuation; pump down the refrigeration system to 1,500 microns, and then break the vacuum using dry nitrogen. After backfilling with dry nitrogen to atmospheric pressure, operate the vacuum pump a second time to 1,500 microns and again backfill with dry nitrogen. Finally, operate the vacuum pump the third time to 400 microns. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors) and the small business size standard is $15 Million for this type of effort. Based on this information, please indicate whether your company would be a Large or Small Business and have a socio-economic designation as a small business, VOSB or SDVOSB. Capabilities Statement and Documentation: Firms/Companies are invited to provide their capabilities, experience and knowledge in providing these Services. Sources are asked to provide information to demonstrate their answers to the following items: 1. Company name, address, website, business type, socio-economic status (e.g., SDVOSB, Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), general small business, large etc.), and person of contact (including telephone number & email address). 2. Indicate and explain your capability of providing this service including maintaining any required certifications and or additional licensing. 3. Provide a summary of the staffing plan, supervision, materials and equipment that will be used and any relevant licensing. 4. Please indicate your company's size under NAICS Code 238220. In addition to a Capability Statement which includes the above information, submissions can include brochures, diagrams, etc. as attachments.
