- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, is issuing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source in order to identify any potential sources that have the resources and capabilities to provide a comprehensive vehicle for temperature monitoring of FreshLoc temperature sensors. SERVICES REQUIRED Contractor is to provide temperature monitoring for the Stratton VA Medical Center, during the approximate term of 1 Oct 2019 through 30 September 2020. INTERESTED & CAPABLE RESPONSES: NCO 2 is seeking responses from businesses that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, rights, and capabilities necessary to provide these services. Please respond with your: Business name, business type, socio-economic status (e.g., Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), etc.), person of contact (including telephone number & email address), GSA Contract number if applicable, and DUNS number. Capability statement must provide detailed and specific information that would demonstrate a capability to perform the tasks as stated in the attached Statement of Work. The results of this notice will assist in the development of (1) the requirement, and (2) the acquisition strategy (e.g., small business set-aside, full and open competition, etc.). VA assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred associated with the preparation of responses submitted as a result of this notice. Albany, New York Request for Services - Statement of Work (SOW) FRESHLOC MONITORING General: Provide annual 24/7 temperature monitoring, critical alert notifications through email or accessed through secure online access, wireless data-logging sensor to prevent loss of data, data collection/storage through the FreshLoc temperature monitoring system for approx. 98 temperature sensors located at the Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center This contract is for 1 year. This contract term is 1 Oct 2019-30 Sept 2020. Scope of Work: Provide 24/7 temperature monitoring (annual service) for approx.98 temperature sensors for the FreshLoc Temperature Monitoring System at the VAMC Albany which includes 24/7 data collection, secure online access, and notifications/alerts. Contractor will provide critical alert notifications via email, pager and/or online account notification. The Medical Centers must maintain its operation 24 hours per day 7 days a week. Therefore, any interruption in service must be reported to the COR to ensure that no lapses in operations occur. It is the service provider s responsibility to notify and employ contingence plan to support the operational needs of our facilities. The Freshloc temperature monitoring system has a wireless data-logging sensor prevents loss of data during power outage, network loss or other service failures. Contractor will provide data collection and storage of temperature monitoring readings and alerts. The COR will be able to access information through an online account system. The service provider provides online access to data and specific reporting and management formats to the COR for specific needs and review purposes to ensure regulatory compliance, provide early warning of equipment failure, reducing maintenance cost and improving energy management. The service provider will provide troubleshooting network connections through either online account access, email communications, 24/7 help desk and if necessary on-site support (additional cost).
