Page 6 of 11 Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Sources Sought Notice Bruker rapifleX TOF/TOF Imaging Bundle This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirements described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to obtain rapifleX TOF/TOF Imaging Bundle for the VA Medical Center located in Bedford Massachusetts. Refer to the General Requirements section below for the requested description. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: The bundle consists of the most advanced MALDI TOF/TOF platform, the rapifleX TOF/TOF - a must for fastest and reliable imaging analyses that rely on comparing ion intensities. For preparing samples for MALDI imaging measurements, Bruker has paired ultrafleXtreme with TM Sprayer from HTX Imaging. TM Sprayer can prepare samples with wetter or drier coatings depending on the requirements of the measurement. Rounding out the solution is the standard for MALDI imaging software, Bruker's SCiLS Lab Core software which offers a variety of statistical tools for analyzing imaging data. Also included is the SW-License SCiLS Lab Pro Annual Acad. Annual subscription for three floating hardlock USBs. This annual subscription enables extended capabilities for statistical analysis for multiple MALDI imaging data sets of virtually unlimited size. This item is compatible with Bruker's mass specs Autoflex, Ultraflex, Rapiflex, and Solarix. A SCiLS Lab Core license (Part # 1850868) is required for this item. Processing Workstation MALDI Imaging- Powerful workstation for evaluation of MALDI imaging data, including Z440 workstation, Xeon E5 1660v4 8-core processor, Win7 64bit operating system, 2 TB HDD, 1 TB SDD, 128 GB RAM and SW package FlexImaging 5.0. RESPONSE COMMITMENT I. NOTES: A. All questions, comments or concerns shall be directed to kevin.labrie@va.gov. B. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender. No debriefs will be conducted. Eligibility to participate in a future acquisition does not depend upon a response to this notice. C. Proprietary information is neither requested nor desired. If such information is submitted, it must clearly be marked "proprietary" on every sheet containing such information, and the proprietary information must be segregated to the maximum extent practicable from other portions of the response (e.g., use an attachment or exhibit). II. TIMELINE: A. This request will close 3 business days after this notice is published on the FBO site. III. DUNS number, and indicate if actively registered on System for Award Management (SAM) 4. Contractual vehicles the company holds, such as NAC or GSA schedules. 5. Socio-economic Status & NAICS Code: State the size of your company [e.g., 8(a) (including graduation date), HUBZone-certified small business, Service- Disabled Veteran-Owned small business, small business, large business, etc.]. Notes: 1. This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will follow.
