Description

This is a sources sought notice for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the VA. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify qualified businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran -Owned Small Business (VOSB), small disadvantaged businesses (SDB), Women-owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business, 8(a) Small Business and small business concerns that are interested in and capable of performing the work described herein. The NAICS code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing and the corresponding size standard is 1000. Your response to the sources sought will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The VA Palo Alto Health Care has a requirement to purchase a Molecular Devices SpectraMax iD5 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader and accessories as follows: Description Qty Unit SpectraMax iD5 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader 1 Each Microplate Detection Platform 1 Each Microplate Detection Platform 1 Each       Interested firms fitting one or more of these Socio-economic categories should send their information by e-mail to Dario.rissone@va.gov no later than 3:00PM PST, September 11, 2019. The following information is requested in response to this notice: (1) Type of socio-economic category (e.g. SDVOSB, Small Business, etc.) if firm is a SDVOSB or VOSB, evidence of verification in VIP (VetBiz) as a SDVOSB or VOSB (SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Center for Veteran Enterprises CVE)). All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested firms fitting one or more socio-economic categories. If adequate interest is not received, this action will not be set-aside for SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, 8(a) small business or small business firms.
