Description
The Veteran s Administration (VA) Office of Research and Development, Regional Procurement Office East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Life Science Group/Bio-Rad Laboratories based in Hercules, CA. on behalf of the Bronx, NY VA Medical Center. The requirement is to provide one (1) C1000 Touch Cycler Large color touch screen programming polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system. The requested system shall meet or exceed the following specifications: Quick and easy protocol programming 2 programming options, including the Protocol Autowriter, which automatically generates customized standard, fast, and ultrafast protocols Easy protocol editing a large color touch screen and navigation for running easy protocols Flesible platform change throughput capability by linking up to 3 additional thermal cyclers or adding PC control for up to 32 cyclers Advanced file management USB flash drive compatibility to allow universal protocol transfer unlimited data storage and thermal gradient quickly and easily identify optimal annealing temperatures by using the programmable temperature gradient The requirement will take place at a VA facility in Bronx, NY. The sole source is pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the contracting office no later than Thursday, September 12, 2019, (10:00 AM, EST). Interest/capability statements may be sent to Michael Haydo at Michael.haydo@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
