AMENDMENT 0003 AMENDMENT 0004 POSTING: AS OF 10 SEPTEMBER 2019 AT 1656 CT Solicitation Notice: On or about 26 August 2019, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for "BB Replace Doors and Windows in Admin and Maintenance Building". The solicitation will close on or about 13 September 2019. The solicitation is restricted to Small Businesses. Site Visit: A Site Visit will be scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation via FAR Clause 52.236-27. The site visit is tentatively scheduled for 5 September 2019 at 10:00 AM CT. RSVP to Phillip Schoeder @ Phillip.P.Schroeder@usace.army.mil or 605-245-1827. Note: If site visit information changes from pre-solicitation to solicitation issuance, recommend the CS updates FBO. Project Description: 1. General: Contractor is to remove existing windows/doors, framing, and trim and furnish and install new windows/doors, framing, and trim at the Big Bend Project Office located in Fort Thompson, SD. All work shall conform to the specifications of this document. 2. Demolition: Contractor shall remove old windows/doors, frames and hardware and dispose of properly. Windows/doors shall be stripped of all wood or aluminum framing down to the concrete rough opening. Only one window/door will be worked on at a time and must be secured by the end of business hours. Existing windows/doors and building materials shall become the property of the contractor and shall be disposed of properly. 3. Installation: Contractor shall install newly furnished windows/doors according to manufacturer's recommendations and instructions. New aluminum framing shall be fastened to the concrete rough opening using concrete fasteners. Care shall be taken to not damage interior or exterior walls of the buildings. Any damage shall be repaired to the original condition at the expense of the contractor. Windows/doors shall be properly trimmed on the interior with an approved aluminum trim to appear finished. 4. Materials: Windows shall be an approved equal to the Desco I85 series windows. Windows shall be replaced with a fixed or project-out, double pane window, as directed in the drawings. Some windows will require a wire mesh between the panes, as well as an interior insect screen. Additional specifications in this document outline the window/door hardware requirements. Field dimensions at each location shall be verified before submittal of window/door systems. The Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, this is subject to change after solicitation issuance. Estimated Construction Costs (only include if applicable): The estimated construction cost of this project is between $100,000 and $140,000. Obtaining Solicitation Documents: Solicitation documents will be posted to the web via Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). Find solicitation announcement in Fed Biz Opps (www.fbo.gov) 1.
