Description
Solicitation Provide all labor, material, supplies, parts and equipment necessary to perform repairs to install, calibrate and test Load Moment Indicator system according to the below specifications. Supply of 1 Load Moment Indicator system for an Appleton EB50-50-30 crane. System shall be Single hook monitoring Markload DX System or equal. LMI system must include all features as outlined below. A load-moment limit system shall be provided for the crane. The system shall include a digital load readout, digital boom angle indicator, digital boom length indicator, digital height of boom head indicator, digital load radius indicator, overload indicator light, overload alarm enunciator, and alarm cut-out switch mounted on the control panel. The system shall be accurate to ±2% of rated load. The system shall set the hoist and boom brakes and interrupt hoist and boom power. The limit system shall incorporate the boom angle and boom extension into the alarm settings. The system shall audibly alert the operator when approaching the load-moment limit of the crane. The alarm set points shall be adjustable. The load-moment limit system shall be of such a design that it does not reduce the performance of the crane in any fashion. The load cell shall not be placed in the lower load block. The load-moment limit system shall be installed and calibrated by the manufacturer or a certified technician. A calibration certificate shall be submitted. Set points shall be pulled from the load chart of the crane. Contractor shall perform an annual inspection of crane and perform load test. Load test weights shall be furnished by the Government. Contractor shall provide five (5) working days' notice prior to tentative load test date. In accordance with the attached scope of work.
