- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock (NSWCCD) requires interperting services to support its mission to provide the full spectrum of applied maritime science and technology, from the theoretical and conceptual beginnings, through design and acquisition, to implementation and follow-on engineering. This includes all technical aspects of improving the performance of ships, submarines, military water craft and unmanned vehicles, as well as research for military logistics systems. NSWCCD anticipates establishing a multiple award blanket purchase agreement to meet its needs over the next five years. Interested parties shall respond to this notice by providing the following information: 1) Business Type (socio-economic category) 1) Interested parties shall be located within a 50-mile radius of 9500 MacArthur Blvd, West Bethesda, MD 20817-5700 2) Its internal screening to ensure language fluency, interpreting skill, and ethical competence of personnel 3) Number of personnel that possess linguistic expertise in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English with a minimum of three years professional experience in ASL interpretation. Interpreting personnel must possess a current, valid interpreter certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and uphold the Code of Professional Conduct (CPC) and at least two personnel with a Secret clearance 5) Ability to respond and quote within a 24 hour notice and provide support within 48 hours from the notice of requirement 6) Ability to handle interpreting services in two hour, four hour, and all day increments 7) Ability to provide support starting immediately Note: This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any actual procurement of services. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. All costs associated with this notice are solely at the responding parties' expense.
