- Amendment 2 Attachment 1 End Cell Quantities Amendment 2 ***Amendment 2 - see attached posted 12 Sep 2019*** No change to bid opening date*** ***Amendment 1 - see attached posted 30 Aug 2019*** No change to bid opening date *** Solicitation No. W912P819B0056 Inner Harbor Navigation Canal (IHNC) Lock 2019 Northeast and Southwest Dolphin Replacements, ED 18-082 The work consists of demolition and removal of timber guidewall and existing concrete and steel pile cellular dolphins, pile driving and construction of concrete bull nose dolphin, and other related incidental work. This contract will be broken into a base contract and optional work. The base contract will be for the demolition of the existing northeast timber guidewall and sheet pile end cell and construction of the new northeast bullnose dolphin. Construction of the new bullnose dolphin will involve pipe pile driving, placement of the base of the concrete slab below the waterline, above water concrete placement, stairs, handrails, rub rails and other miscellaneous metalwork. Placement of the concrete slab below the waterline will require a contractor designed system to permit placement of the concrete in a dry environment. Optional work (OW) will be for the demolition of the existing southwest timber guidewall and sheet pile end cell and construction of the new southwest bullnose dolphin. Construction of the new bullnose dolphin will involve pipe pile driving, placement of the base of the concrete slab below the waterline, above water concrete placement, handrails, and rub rails. Placement of the concrete slab below the waterline will require a contractor designed system to permit placement of the concrete in a dry environment. The estimated value of the work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 19 Aug 2019, and a bid opening will be held on 19 Sep 2019 at 2 PM CST in Room No. 328 at the USACE New Orleans District located at 7400 Leake Ave, New Orleans, LA. The contract performance is 280 calendar days (Base), 310 calendar days (Option). This procurement is set-aside for Women-Owned Small Business.
