- Solicitation 36C247-19-Q-11128 Notice of Intent to Sole Source reference FAR 6.302-1. The Department of Affairs, VISN 7, Birmingham VA Medical Center is procuring the following, for the: BRAND NAME (CIANNA MEDICAL SAVI SCOUT CONSOLE): Requirements: One (1) SSCYS-01-SCOUT CONSOLE 2.5D AND GUIDE. Specifications: Must be Wire Free localization system for breast surgical excisional biopsies. Localization accuracy within one mm accuracy Dimensions: 12 inches width, 6 inches height, 12inches depth Weight: 6lbs Power Consumption: 26 watts, nominal, 38 watts, maximum (at high volume) Instrument make/model: Cianna Medical Inc./SCOUT check Console The Department of Veterans Affairs, Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: CIANNA MEDICAL 6 JOURNEY, SUITE 125 ALISO VEIJO, CA 092656 Sole source is based on only one responsible source as CIANNA MEDIAL Powered by Merit Medical is the manufacturer and supplier of the Savi Scout Console System. Contractor has provided a Manufacturer Sole Source Proprietary Letter. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The applicable NAICS Code is 334517 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 11:00AM EST on September 17, 2019 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to, Contract Specialist at maia.rylandlesesene@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Birmingham VA Medical Center, Intent to Sole Source to CIANNA MEDIAL. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement upon receipt of response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There will be no solicitation available.
