- Description
- NAVAIR-NAWCWD China Lake, CA has a requirement for an Optical Measurement & Inspection System (OMIS) utilizing an Advanced Topometric Optical Sensor (ATOS 5 - a structured blue light scanner). NAVAIR-NAWCWD China Lake, CA intends to issue a sole source contract to Capture 3d, Incorporated, 3207 S SHANNON ST, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, 92704-6352 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that Capture 3d, Incorporated is the sole provider of ATOS 5 - Structured Light Scanning System. NAVAIR-NAWCWD China Lake, CA will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, Bldg. 90-2, Code 6.3, PO Box 357058, NAS North Island, San Diego, CA 92135-7058. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 05:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on September 15, 2019. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Going forward, all new entities registering in GSA's System for Award Management (SAM), as well as existing registrations being updated or renewed, will require the submission of an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized Entity Administrator for the entity associated with the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number before the registration will be activated. It is recommended that all interested parties be aware that processing this additional information may take several days and are proactive in maintaining the SAM registrations in an "Active" status as the government cannot award to an entity without an "Active" SAM registration.
