SPECIAL NOTICE INDUSTRY DAY FOR FORT RANDALL UNIT REHAB This is an announcement for the Industry Day to be held at Fort Randall Dam. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. This announcement and the Industry Day event are for planning purposes only. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any party attending or participating for costs incurred for this event or marketing efforts. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, will host a 2nd Industry Day event for all businesses interested in the Fort Randall Unit Rehab. Purposes of this Industry Day are: review the Fort Randall Rehab project scope of work, provide a tour of one of the Dam's eight turbine generator units, review contractor comments to published Ft Randall Unit Rehab specifications, and solicit comments and information from industry. DRAFT Ft Randall Major Unit Rehab specifications will be posted to FBO on or about Sept 24, 2019. Comments will be accepted via ProjNet Bidder Inquiry through Dec 23, 2019. The Address for the industry day is: 113 Randall Creek Road Fairfax, SD 57335 *Please see attached "Industry Day Directions" Industry Day will be held: October 16 - 17, 2019 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. *Tentative Schedule will be posted to FBO on 1 Oct 2019" Industry Day Attendance: The event is free of charge and all interested parties are invited to attend. Attendance is limited to two (2) representatives per company. To be allowed entrance to the event, you must provide the following information to Robin Puskar, Robin.L.Puskar@usace.army.mil NLT the dates provided below: 1. Foreign (non-US) Citizens, provide the following information NLT Sept 16, 2019: (1) Full name, (2) Position and Affiliated Organization, (3) Scanned copy of passport. 2. All other Attendees, provide the following information NLT Oct 9, 2019: (1) Full Name and (2) Position and Affiliated Organization. **No cameras, phones or photos will be allowed. All phones and cameras must be left in vehicles. There will be no individual or unescorted tours** Industry Questions and Comments: ALL inquiries and questions related to this Industry Day are to be submitted via Bidder Inquiry in ProjNet at (https://www.projnet.org). Questions/comments submitted by 9 Oct, 2019 will be reviewed and open for discussion during Industry Day. Evaluations for questions/comments submitted after Oct 9, 2019 will be addressed via ProjNet. Project ID / Name: (461738) / Fort Randall Unit Rehab Solicitation Number: W9128F20R0003 Bidder Inquiry Key: VVKTXK-GR5IQH *Please see attached "Specific Instructions for ProjNet" Summary of Work: This project will provide rehabilitation on the eight turbine generator units at the Fort Randall Power Plant. The rehab will include new turbine runners, new or refurbished wicket gates, head cover & stay ring refurbishment, and new generator stator windings. Other mechanical & electrical upgrades may be included in the work as the condition of the components is revealed. These items may include piping, coolers, high pressure oil lift and general mechanical work and miscellaneous auxiliary electrical work. The following major activities need to be carried out for all eight units: 1. Disassemble units 2. Rewind unit generator 3. Replace turbine runner 4. Refurbish thrust and guide bearings (if required) 5. Replace or refurbish wicket gates Range of magnitude: Between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000
