Description
PR 0011342973 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES OF LFT -200 LOW VOLUME GAS CELL This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6565 Surveillance Loop, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013; has a requirement to procure the following service: The Chemical Biological and Radiological (CBR) Filtration Branch at ECBC uses one LFV transmission cell for use with a FTIR for various research projects for chemical testing. The detectors require service to maintain operability when they break. The cell will be repaired at the Hellma Analytics facility in Plainview NY. The service includes receiving and inspecting the cell upon receipt, and document the condition based on visual and functional testing. Dismantle and clean the cell, some parts will require replacement during the services, and some parts will be reassembled. The cell will be testing for optic transmission and pressure. All parts and maintenance to be covered by a ninety (90) day Parts and Labor Service warranty. The contractor shall be trained, possess the licenses and certifications from the OEM to perform the necessary maintenance and repair on the instruments without risk of voiding or invalidating warranties. In addition, the contractor shall have access to OEM parts and software required during performance of the task. The intended period of performance for the above mentioned service will be one year after the date of award. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to HELLMA USA INC., 80 Skyline Drive Unit 1, Plainview, NY, 118030-2510. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard is 20.5 million. All responses received within five businesses (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed requirement will be based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), 18 September 2019.
