Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center (VAMC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with AdInstruments for the Precision Flowprobe System. Investigators at the Wahlen VAMC are conducting research which requires equipment that mimics blood flow, uses minimal reagents, and maintains research data integrity with data already collected. The AdInstruments Precision Flowprobe System is the only known system that can generate flow that mimics patient blood flow while using minimal reagents and maintaining research data integrity. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Thursday, September 19th, 4:00 PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Shannon Hukriede at Shannon.Hukriede@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
