Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa City VA Health Care System (VA HCS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Diagnosys Systems Inc. for the Diagnosys Celeris Throughput Testing System. Investigators at the Iowa City VA HCS, VA Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Visual Loss are conducting research to determine treatment effects for rehabilitation of the visual system in preclinical settings for TBI, Glaucoma, Multiple Sclerosis, and Diabetes. The Diagnosys Celeris Throughput Testing System examines retinal and optic nerve function and is set up to perform ERG, Pattern-ERG and VEP recordings in a single session. The Diagnosys Celeris Throughput Testing System is the only known system to obtain all these measurements in a single session. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Thursday, September 19, 4:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Shannon Hukriede at Shannon.Hukriede@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
