- Description
- ROBINS AFB, 638 th SCMG - PITCH DAY AN/ALE-45 Flex Cable and Backplane (NSNs 5996-01-204-2430 & 5996-01-205-1273) This Market Survey/Request for Information (RFI) is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and repair/production of the ALE-45 Flex Cable (NSN: 5995-01-204-2430 EW P/N 141210-0002 ) and Backplane ( 5998-01-205-1273EW P/N 141213-0001 ) for use by United States Air Force (USAF) and to make reparability recommendations for the Backplane. The AN/ALE-45 Countermeasure Dispenser (CMD) Electronic Warfare (EW) System operates on the F-15 aircraft used by the Air Combat Command (ACC) and the Air National Guard (ANG). The AN/ALE-45 CMD provides the capability to automatically/manually respond to radar-guided and infrared homing weapons. It dispenses a combination of chaff, flare, etc. payloads based upon the Operational Flight Program's (OFP) evaluation. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are cautioned that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. This effort will be used as a Robins AFB - 638th SCMG Pilot Program referred to as "Pitch Day". Pitch Day will serve as a rapid acquisition method that will allow contractors the opportunity to "pitch" their proposals orally to the Government. Pitch Day would allow the Government to have real time interface with contractors and will result in a same day award of a procurement contract for the two items referenced in this RFI. Information submitted under this RFI does not guarantee an invitation to pitch day, t his RFI is for Market Research purposes only.
