- Page 1 of 1 In accordance with 13.106-1(b), this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to Performance Mobility (dba United Access) through KWD LLD FAMILY ENT(S) LLC 9500 W. 49th Avenue C-107 Wheat Ridge, CO 80033: ITEM # DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES QTY UNIT OF ISSUE 1 2019 Toyota Sienna EX-XLE with Navigation 1 EA 2 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan GT with Navigation 1 EA 2 Adaptive Outfitting, Secondary Controls, Transportation, etc. 1 LT This is a new requirement for a two (2) adaptive vehicles at the Department of Veterans Affairs Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora Colorado. This system will be purchased through a firm-fixed-price purchase order. The Driver Rehabilitation Program as part of the Spinal Cord Injury and Disease (SCI/D) unit provides driver evaluation and adaptive driving training, via adaptive vehicle modifications to meet the needs of paraplegic spinal cord injury patients. A Toyota Sienna and Dodge Grand Caravan will be purchased and outfitted with accessibility controls used to support patient rehabilitation and highly specialized systems will be installed that allow accessibility controls to be changed out as needed for specific patient needs. Additionally, secondary controls will be outfitted on the passenger side allowing staff members to take control of the vehicle when needed. Performance Mobility has three (3) locations within the Denver Metro area and are the only vendor that can service the requested wheelchair vans within a 24-hour response time. The quick 24-hour response time is needed to keep patient scheduling on track. Response time over the 24-hour period affects patient care and rehabilitation. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336211 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, September 19th, 2019. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to kurt.tanny@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
