- Geotechnical Lab Data Boring Location Map Agenda, Questions and Constraints Revised Save the date Flyer This notice constitutes a REQUEST FOR INFORMARTION (RFI). This RFI is for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR INVITATION FOR BIDS. THERE WILL BE NO CONTRACT AWARDED FROM THIS RFI. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of all firms interested in participating in the competition to compete and perform a firm-fixed price best-value contract. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this RFI. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District is seeking information from experienced source(s) capable of deepening Port Everglades Harbor. BACKGROUND The Port Everglades Navigation Improvements Project is authorized for construction in Section 1401(1.)(4.) of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2016. The Project consists of widening and deepening major channels and basins within the Port, along with environmental mitigation and monitoring. RESPONSES All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this RFI announcement. All responses will be reviewed for preliminary planning purposes in determining future acquisition strategy. Industry is asked to provide a written response to the following questions: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address; (2) Type of Business (small business, small disadvantaged business, etc.); (3) State your firm's bonding capacity as of the date of your response. (4) Provide no more than five (5) references of the most recent and similar contracts performed within the last five (5) years of work same/similar in nature. Include name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of references. Also provide a brief description of the work performed, contract number, total contract value, and period of performance. (5) Provide any contractual construction work with USACE and experience in EM 385-1-1 Accident Prevention Plans, and Quality Control. (6) If your firm is a Small Business, provide affirmation that your firm can comply with the following minimum requirements: FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, requires that a small business concern perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Submission of information should be limited to not more than five (5) pages. NOTE - DO NOT SUBMIT PROPRIETARY AND/OR BUSINESS CONFIDENTIAL DATA. NOTE: TO BE CONSIDERED A SMALL BUSINESS, A FIRM MUST PERFORM AT LEAST 40 PERCENT OF THE VOLUME DREDGED WITH ITS OWN EQUIPMENT OR EQUIPMENT OWNED BY ANOTHER SMALL BUSINESS (13 CFR 121).
