Description

Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO 6), intends to issue a sole source award to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc for preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance service plan for the Siemens MRI Magnetom Avanto and MR Chiller Model KCC/KSC 215-2K in use at Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina. This will be an annual contract (one year) with no option years. This is a service maintenance contract with 24x7 phone support and consultation. This includes unlimited support requests. Remote diagnostics, including patches, software downloads. This will be a one year base contract with no option years. NAICS Code for this acquisition is 811219, Size Standard $20.5 Million Dollars. This is not a request for competitive offers and a solicitation is not available; however, all expressions of interest received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Market research has determined that these support services are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of ********* to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. 40 Liberty Blvd, Malvern PA, 19355, Cage Code 0E2E6 This announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer by 24 September 2019, 11:00 AM EST to Eric McCray via e-mail at eric.mccray@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
