- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - This is a notice of the Government's intent to issue a sole source delivery order modification to Information Gateways, Inc. (IGI), to provide technical support. The Department of Defense (DOD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to modify delivery order award to IGI under the statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition, under provisions of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) - One Responsible Source. WHS/AD intends to issue a modification to delivery order HQ003419F0179 to provide technical support for the continued maintenance and enhancement of a very large (60,000 function points) and complex software application known as the Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS). DSAMS is managed and maintained by DSCA on behalf of over 2,500 users in the Army, Navy, Air Force, DSCA and other Defense agencies. The estimated value increase to this contract is $343,768.60 raising the total contract value to $8,839,760.72. This increase is necessary to provide for continuity of mission critical services under the current contract. This modification shall be on a sole source basis using the authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), 8.405-6(a) (1) (i) (B) - One Responsible Source. This notice serves as a Synopsis of Modification and a Notice of Intent as a modification to the current contract and is not a request for proposals. No solicitation is forthcoming. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon any response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award any modification to the existing contract.
