- NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO STRACON SERVICES GROUP, LLC The Washington Headquarter Service (WHS) Acquisition Division (AD) intends to issue a modification to exercise an Option to Extend Services in accordance with FAR 52.217-8 "Option to Extend Services" for continued Management support Services in support of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). This is a two (2) month extension with two (2) one (1) month options under Contract No. HQ003419C0033 for the extension of the service. The estimated value increase to this requirements contract is $670,432.92 raising the total contract value to $6,088,908.87. This increase in estimated value is necessary to provide for continuity of mission critical services under the current contract while a new contract award is awarded. The proposed extension will have a period of performance from 28 September 2019 through 27 November 2019 to prevent a break in service and adversely impact the organization's mission The exercise of this option shall be on a sole source basis using the authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 13.501(a) (ii) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice serves as a Synopsis of Option and a Notice of Intent to exercise an option as a modification to the current contract and is not a request for proposals. No solicitation is forthcoming. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon any response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award any modification to the existing contract.
