- Solicitation Number: RFICONUS09232019 Notice Type: Pre-solicitation Title: Request for Information (RFI) for food support for DLA Troop Support's (CONUS SPV) Alabama and Florida Panhandle area military and federally funded customers Dear Valued Suppliers: This is a request for information (RFI). This is not a solicitation for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This RFI does not constitute a commitment from the Government and any information provided in response to this RFI will be used for informational purposes only. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise for future business with the Government. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct Market Research. Background : DLA Troop Support expects to begin issuing solicitations for Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) contracts supporting various regions within the contiguous United States (CONUS). DLA Troop Support's CONUS SPV contractors are responsible for providing full-line food and beverage item distribution support for garrison type feeding to military, federally funded, and other authorized customers in the regions covered by each contract. DLA Troop Support SPV contractors provide food products such as canned items, dry items, chill items, ultra-high temperature (UHT) dairy items, frozen bakery products, frozen meats, frozen seafood and poultry, ice cream, eggs and other dairy products under the contracts. Information on current DLA Troop Support CONUS SPV contracts can be found at: http://www.dla.mil/TroopSupport/Subsistence/Foodservices/Regions/CONUS.aspx DLA Troop Support's CONUS Subsistence Prime Vendor (CONUS SPV) Program is interested in your comments regarding food support for the below customers in the Central Alabama and Florida Panhandle area which include but are not limited to: •1. Hurlburt AFB, Hurlburt Field, Florida •2. Eglin AFB, Okaloosa County, Florida •3. Tyndall AFB, Florida •4. NAS Pensacola, Pensacola, Florida •5. Ft. Rucker, Daleville, Alabama •6. Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, Alabama Please respond to the following: 1. Provide a brief description of your company (name, address, type of business; business size, CAGE Code if applicable, country of origin). 2. Subsistence Prime Vendor support includes, but is not limited to: sourcing food items; receiving and consolidating product; warehousing and inventory management; quality control, quality assurance, and inspections; transportation and security of product; personnel management; meeting required delivery dates and fill rates; and extensive reporting requirements. Total yearly sales for the Central Alabama and Florida Panhandle area are estimated at $17,028,372.37. a. Does your firm currently have any commercial and/or government business in the Alabama and Florida Panhandle area? Or alternatively, describe your firm's experience with the Alabama and Florida Panhandle area. b. Can your firm manage the volume of business described above? Where are your warehouses presently located? What is the dollar value of product going through your warehouses on an annual basis? c. What are the potential concerns that you see that may impede/impact your ability to deliver the necessary supplies to the customers in the Alabama and Florida Panhandle area? 3. If or when a solicitation is issued for the Alabama and Florida Panhandle area, does your firm intend to participate in the bidding process?
