Description
This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. 2. Fall Protection System: a. Install four (4) fall protection anchor points per the attached drawing. Actual location and fastening details will be determined by location and type of structural member to which the anchor will be attached. System must be stamped by a Professional Engineer registered in the state of New Mexico. b. Regardless of anchor type and receiving structural member, the system must be capable of withstanding a pullout force of 5400lbs (24kN), applied in any direction. The anchors and anchorage must meet USACE Safety Manual, EM 385-1-1 (2014) specifications for Fall Protection. Contractor shall supply roof plans (electronic copy, pdf format) upon completion. The intent of this contract is to provide a new roof overlay for the Abiquiu Dam Administration Office and Overlook Restroom and a permanent fall protection system. The needed roof replacement and safety improvements that are beyond the technical expertise of the Lake Office's maintenance personnel. This contract will ensure the continued health and safety of the Lake Office personnel and the visiting public and preservation of equipment/facilities housed by the building. All work is to be done according to industry standard practice, within all Federal and State regulations and using materials appropriate to the type of work.
