- Description
- On September 20th, 2019, in accordance with 10 U.S. Code § 2371b, the Army Contracting Command - Orlando has awarded an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) via the Training and Readiness Accelerator (TReX) for Automating the Rapid Generation of 3D Geospatial Data (RAPID 3D) prototype project. A Request for Solutions for these efforts was issued through TReX on June 3, 2019, which resulted in the submittal of 10 total responses. As a result of a multi-stage competition, the prototype project was awarded to CAE USA Mission Solutions, Inc. located in Tampa, FL. The total value of this prototype project, if all phases and options are exercised, is $994,350.01. United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) desires a prototype with the capability to rapidly generate 3D data from multiple imagery sources. The goal of this effort is to develop software that uses new and/or enhanced methods for processing sensor data in order to both expedite processing time and take advantage of non-traditional sensor data as a source for model development. The delivered prototype solution(s) will consist of three independent objectives: Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Acceleration, Geo-Registration, and Scale. Upon successful completion of this prototype effort, the Government does not anticipate a follow-on production effort to be awarded. However, the Government reserves the right to consider these activities based on the successful completion of the prototype solutions. Note: Should the selected vendors fail to demonstrate progress or be unsuccessful in the accomplishment of the goals of this prototyping effort, the Government reserves the right to return to the results of this competition and award additional Other Transaction Agreements to one or more of the vendors that responded to the initial Request for Solutions, as appropriate within the scope and evaluated results of the competition.
