- Description
- *Intent to Sole Source*LaserShot SIMRANGE Pro LE system is a laser based firearms training simulator that provides scenario based training using inert, laser, weapons. The system meets the training and legal requirements for decision based training and deadly force training that agents receive on an annual basis. Laser Shot LE Sim Range Pro (the "Sim Range"). Laser Shot's cameras, software, and firmware have been developed and configured by Laser Shot to work specifically with the Sim Range. Only Laser Shot's technology and software works with the Sim Range as the technology is proprietary and has been designed to integrate with this product. Laser Shot is the sole source from whom you can purchase Laser Shot technology and the associated training for the Sim Range. The products are protected by trade secrets and patents and are unique in the market. Laser Shot is the publisher, holder of all copyrights, and sole source for the only software that works with the Sim Range Specific characteristics of the SIMRANGE Pro LE that limit the availability to a sole source are the scenarios presented on the LaserShot SIMRANGE system that are unique and proprietary and meet the legal and deadly force parameters of the FBI Deadly Force Policy. Only this suggested source can furnish the requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because LaserShot owns the software needed to run the system and developed the scenarios based on the FBI's protocols. 1.
