Description
Specifications for consideration. The USDA Agricultural Research Service intends to award on a sole source basis the purchase of a screw press system from the vendor, BOERGER, LLC of Chanhassen, MN in the amount of $70,000 with an option valued at $26,000. ARS, in University Park, PA, requires one new Boerger liquid/solid separation system. This separation system shall all be mounted on a single skid, shall be capable of operating at a minimum capacity of 100 gallons per minute, and shall include all necessary plumbing, electrical, and control panels such that it operates as a single unit. This liquid/solid separation system will be used to conduct studies on removing phosphorus from dairy, poultry, and swine manures. The government has identified only one source capable of meeting these requirements but will consider any vendors who can demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements as specified in the attached specifications page. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 325320 Pesticide and Other Chemical Manufacturing. The size standard for this NAICS is 1,000 employees. The government intends to issue the award using 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources who believe they can meet the government's requirements may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Prospective vendors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications and shall be registered in the System for Award Management database at http://www.sam.gov. All responses shall be addressed by email to Kelli.Lightfoot@ars.usda.gov by NLT 12:00 pm, EST on 09/28/2019. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
