The VASLCHCS desires the reacquisition of the Logicare Patient Instruction System currently in use at the medical center and its affiliated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Logicare offers customizable instructions for diagnoses, medications, treatments, medical devices, recommended diets and follow up. Logicare has a comprehensive library of nearly 6,000 patient instructions, plans for admission, daily teaching and patient discharge. Logicare is a patient education technology that seamlessly integrates patient data and documents with Veterans Integrated System Technology Architecture (VISTA) and Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) resulting in a superior workflow and improved outcomes.
