Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO Central, Network Contracting Office 10, intends to enter into a Sole Source Procurement for Reagents Supplies for the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602-5251. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) Soliciting from a Single Source, the Department of Veterans Affairs Intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order on a Sole Source Basis with the following Vendor: Cepheid US 904 Caribbean Drive Sunnyvale, CA 94089-1189 This will be for furnishing the facility with GenXpert Reagent Kits and Supplies and is a BRAND NAME Procurement for the following supplies: 132 Kits, GenExpert MRSA Test Kits (MPN): GXMRSA-NXG-10 2 Packages, Copan Swabs, Ingle Use Disposable Swab, 120 Count (MPN): PS-120 10 Kits, CDIFF Kits, 10 Tests, GX, Individual (MPN): GXCDIFFICILE-10 The period of performance will be from October 01, 2019 until September 30, 2020 with Product Deliveries occurring per the Delivery Schedule. The Associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 325413 and the Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. The Sole Source Rationale is based on the Government s belief that these testing kits and supplies are manufactured and distributed solely by Cepheid and are the only supplies that are compatible with the Cepheid testing equipment currently being utilized in the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Microbiology Laboratory. This Notice of Intent is not a Solicitation or Request for Competitive Quotes or Offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Federal Government. Responses must be received no later than 8:00 AM, Eastern Daylight Time, Monday, September 30, 2019. All responses shall be submitted to Michele R.
