Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 325998, All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This Sources Sought does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. Requirement The Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center located in Saginaw, MI has a requirement for 1,500, 50lbs bags of calcium chloride to be used for snow and ice removal. The facility does not have space to store the product. 1,500, 50lbs bags. Contractor shall store product at their facility. Each delivery shall consist of 300, 50lbs bags. Delivery shall be made to the Medical Center within 24 hours of request. Delivery shall be made to the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. Interested vendors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Registration is available at www.sam.gov. Responses to this Sources Sought notice should be sent to Robert.Beeman@va.gov and must contain the following information: (1) Company name and address (2) Point of contact with phone number and email (3) DUNS number (4) OEM Authorized Distributor Letter The deadline to respond is October 8, 2019, at 2:00 pm (E.S.T). As a reminder, this is a Sources Sought announcement only. THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS OF ANY KIND. There is no guarantee, expressed or implicit, that the market research for this acquisition will result in a particular set-aside or sole source award, or any other guarantee of award strategy. All information is to be provided on a voluntary basis at no charge to the Government.
