Description

Sole Source Public Notice The Bureau of The Fiscal Service (Fiscal Service) has made a sole source award to Monongahela Power Company (MonPower), 1310 Fairmont Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554-3526 for a Task Order (TO) for a Base Year plus four 12-month option years against their GSA Areawide Contract 47PA0418D0034 for electric utilities for the Bureau of the Fiscal Service's Third Street, and Avery Street locations. This award was pursuant to FAR Part 16.505 (b)(2)(i)(B), only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or highly specialized. Per market research MonPower is the only electric utility provider in the Northern and Southern West Virginia area. A GSA Areawide Contract was located and determined in the best interest of the Government to utilize. This posting satisfies the posting requirements stated in FAR Part 8.405-6 (a)(2)(i). Responses to this posting will only be considered as market research for future similar requirements.
