- Request for Information (RFI) for Improved Magnetic Receiving Unit and Head Tracking Equipment THIS IS A RFI ONLY. This Sources Sought (SS)/Request for Information (RFI) is being posted to satisfy the requirement of DFARS PGI 206.302-1. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal, AL intends to issue sole source options to an existing Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Elbit Systems of America for manufacture of hardware. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. Purpose: The Product Manager Air Warrior (PM AW) is seeking to identify interested contractors capable of providing manufacture of the Improved Magnetic Receiving Unit (IMRU), Mini-Converter Control Unit (MCCU), Helmet Tracker Kit (HTK), Boresight Reticle Unit (BRU), and Advanced Magnetic Transmitter Unit (AMTU). The IMRU will be fielded to Army Aviation Apache aircraft to be mounted on the helmet as part of the Integrated Helmet and Display Sight System. The Army intends to purchase MCCUs to provide pilot interface to the sight and display computer system. The Army may purchase limited quantities of HTKs, BRUs, and AMTUs. Background: The U.S. Government currently has an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with Elbit Systems of America (ESA). The U.S. Government intends to extend the contract through the addition of up to three option ordering periods. ESA is the current sole source manufacturer of the hardware items. Instructions: Request that interested parties provide a written response to this RFI NLT 18 October 2019 to Pamela Latham at pamela.r.latham.civ@mail.mil. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Submissions can be through written correspondence and/or electronic mail. Responses should be no more than ten pages and include, at a minimum: • Name and address of the interested company or organization; • Contact information for the primary POC; • A brief description of the potential offeror's company/organization; • A description of the potential offeror's capabilities and products; • A description of the potential offeror's quality certification and program;
