Description

This is a Sources Sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is the conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses with special interest in seeking: Small Businesses (SB); VA certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) small business concerns. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to an acquisition approach. Your responses will be due by Thursday, October 10, 2019, 4:30PM (EST) to the point of contact listed below. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, and the Durham Veteran Affair Medical Center located: 508 Fulton St., Durham, North Carolina, 27705 anticipates a requirement to procure a banquet hall with catering with an option to hold the event the following year. Description: Durham VA Medical Center is searching for a location to hold their Annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet on National Volunteer Recognition Week (April 20 or April 27, 2020). The hotel/restaurant shall be able to accommodate 160-190 guests. Durham requests that the place of performance have a waived room rental fee, a specific area for a social hour, a separate registration area and be within a close proximity of the Durham VA Medical Center. The facility shall have the following: door men to assist volunteers in and out of a vehicle, ability to accommodate a large number of wheelchair needed spots, minimum of 2 wheelchair accessible rest rooms for both men and women separately, elevators that can accommodate wheelchairs and scooters, free parking, well-lit parking area, compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act, ability for a sound system connection for microphone and entertainment, able to provide linens to match color theme Place of Performance: Durham, NC 27705 The Appropriate NAICS code 722320 and the small business size standard are $7.5 Million. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract.
