- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service, Region 6, Deschutes National Forest has a requirement for the Bend Pine Administative Site (BPAS) Seed Freezer Replacement, Deschutes County, Oregon. The project includes but is not limited to: demolition of mechanical equipment for one existing seed freezer and three tree coolers at the Bend Seed Extractory and supply and install of all new equipment. Project Location: All work will be completed at the Bend Pine Administrative Site (BPAS), located at 63095 Deschutes Market Rd, Bend, OR 97701. The work will be completed at the Seed Freezer Building, Building 2222 (Tree Coolers C & D and stratification cooler in same building), and the Seed Extractory Building. The Government's estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. A payment bond (100 percent) and performance bond (100 percent) will be required after award. Start date is estimated to be December 11, 2019. Base item as well as all exercised option items shall be ready for use by April 1, 2020. This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Preferred Program (FB4P). Note: prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base prior to award. All contractors and vendors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications in the SAM system.
