- The purpose of this synopsis is to notify interested parties that DLA Disposition Acquisitions Directorate anticipates issuing a solicitation for removal, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste on the Alaska contract in the next 1 - 2 days. Wastes streams include, but are not limited to: Batteries, Corrosives, Compressed Gas Cylinders, and Flammable/Combustible/Ignitable wastes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 562211, and the size standard is $38,500,000.00. There are approximately 54 pickup points, including Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson, AKARNG Nome AAOF, Wrangell and Gambell. Standard removal timeframe for all sites is 14 calendar days from the date of order issuance. The duration of the contact is anticipated to be for one (1) 30-month base period and one (1) 30-month option period. No hardcopies of this solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the DLA Disposition Services Acquisitions Directorate. The solicitation will be posted in its entirety at this website.
