- 1. ACTION CODE: Pre-Solicitation 2. CLASSIFICATION CODE: 61 3. PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT: Matthew Stein 4. SOLICITATION NUMBER: SPE7LX19RX050 5. DESCRIPTION: BATTERY, NONRECHARGE The subject requirement is for the acquisition of two (2) NSNs. The major FSC of this requirement is: 6135. The Government is pursuing a long-term, Indefinite Quantity Contract with firm fixed pricing for the duration of three (3) year base periods with NO option periods for a potential total of three (3) years, which will provide DLA Direct (Stocked) replenishment coverage in support of military depots. Increments and delivery schedule will be noted on the RFP. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Index ‐ based on weighted average of the following index. PPI Code: PCU335912335912 (Primary Battery Manufacturing) Unrestricted Other than Full and Open Competition applies. The solicitation is NOT being issued under the First Destination Transportation (FDT) program. FOB Destination with Inspection at Destination and Origin will be utilized. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/dodwarning.aspx?goto=/rfp on the issue date of 10/10/19. Based upon market research, the Government is using the policies contained in FAR Part 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. Military and commercial specifications cannot be provided by DLA Land and Maritime. Hard copies are not available. There are no technical drawings/bid sets available. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and any other factors as listed in the solicitation. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer that meets the requirements of the solicitation.
