Description
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The Government intends to award a fixed price purchase order to Blood Bank Computer Systems, Aubum, MA 98001. This request is in direct support of the Donor application (BBCS) used at NIH/CC/DTM. The BBCS Donor application manages Blood and subsequent product distribution to patients at the NIH Clinical Center. The BBCS request is for security auditing tools on the BBCS infrastructure servers. Per HHS regulation, servers are required to be monitored against intrusions by the computer hacking community. The DTM is a unique blood center which collects blllod and blood components from healthy donors to treat patients participating in many protocols. Blood components are collected to support biomedical research performed in laboratories at NIH, and patients alos donate blood products to determine the therapeutic benefit of removing various blood components or to obtain blood components needed to treat their medical condition. Numerous regulatory authorities, specifically the Food and and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) set policy and enforce this policy for use, monitoring and maintenance of equipment and systems that are used in support of patient care. The use of a validated IT system is standard of care for both blood collectors and transfusion services. It systems in blood collection facilities are considered a medical device and must be FDA approved unlike all other hospital IT systems. 1. 5450-106 ABO Express Maintenance Tier 1, 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020, Quantity 8311 each. 2. 5450-303 ABO Wheels Maintenance Tier 1, 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020, Quantity 8311 each. 3. 5450-202 ABO Lab Mainenance Tier 1, 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020 Quantity 8311 each 4. 5450-600 ABO Quick Pass Maintenance Tier 1, 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020 Quantity 8311 each 5. 5445-020 Gold Support Plan Monthly, 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020
